🐣✨ A Full-Circle Moment, Five Years in the Making! ✨🐣
Five years ago, when schools closed early due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our current fifth-grade students missed out on a beloved elementary tradition—caring for hatching chicks. Today, they finally got their chance… and it was worth the wait! 💛
For the past 21 days, our kinder students have been learning about the life cycle of chicks while simultaneously observing and caring for their own hatchlings. This morning, our fifth graders buddied up with our kindergarten students for a special day filled with chick-themed fun:
📚 Reading stories about chicks
🎨 Making adorable chick crafts
🐥 And of course… cuddling and playing with the real chicks!
The highlight? One little chick hatched right before their eyes in Mrs. Stephens’ room! 🌟
Seeing our fifth graders lead with kindness and joy as they shared this moment with our youngest learners was truly magical. The smiles, the giggles, the wide-eyed wonder—it’s what learning is all about. 🙌🏼🤍
